“This workshop is absolutely essential”
“As a midwife I was unsure whether this breastfeeding workshop would be beneficial or not as I already have significant knowledge on breastfeeding. However, it was delivered so incredibly well and was a great refresher for me that it was totally worth it. To someone wanting more knowledge even if you already feel you have some, this workshop and the support would be absolutely essential to a mum and her partner. I cannot recommend this breastfeeding workshop enough. P.S. – Laura is also so lovely and approachable”.

“As part of my antenatal preparation, I knew I wanted support with breastfeeding. It’s really important to me but know it can be challenging, demanding & overwhelming, if you don’t get the right support. We chose to work with Laura due to her excellent reputation & the support that she provides. She helped me better understand how my body works & what’s needed when trying to feed. This included positioning, mindfulness approaches & teaching me to hand express. Laura made me feel completely at ease, comfortable & confident. I was so excited that in my first try at hand expressing I was able to get some colostrum! It was amazing to see what my body was able to do & gave me a huge boost of confidence. Laura also provided an incredibly detailed handbook, which has literally everything you could ever need! I can’t recommend Laura’s feeding workshops & support enough. You will feel informed, calm and confident, ready to start your feeding journey when the baby arrives. Thank you so much Laura”

“We warmed to her caring nature & there was absolutely no judgement that we wanted to combi feed”
“Before our daughter was born, I said I wouldn’t put any pressure on myself to breastfeed, I didn’t think I’d enjoy it or that I’d even be able to produce enough milk. However, following my daughters arrival, I put her straight to the breast & she took to it really well. My milk supply came in thick & after a couple of days but I became extremely sore, it was excruciating. We had completed Laura’s birth prep course & we warmed to her kind, caring nature immediately so contacting her for help was a no brainer!

She helped us extensively & even sent useful videos, Instagram accounts & general information until she could get to us. At a home visit when our daughter was just a few days old, Laura observed feeding & gave us loads of help with positioning & how to get me comfortable as well as heal my sore nipples. She also showed me how to hand express, something I had not done before. She also recommended a number trusted professionals that she works alongside such as a local tongue tie specialists & cranial osteopath. After those appointments our daughter was feeding perfectly without causing pain, her tension was released & we had her tongue tie snipped that which is something Laura had suspected & others had missed.
We booked another session with Laura as we wanted to introduce a bottle & wanted to ensure that my husband knew what to do as well. I had no idea where to start but Laura explained & demonstrated which bottles might be ideal for a breastfed baby & how to responsively bottle feed using paced feeding to avoid confusion between bottle/breast & protect breastfeeding alongside bottle feeding. Further down the line we decided to introduce some formula so that I could have a much-needed break & again Laura helped us with how to introduce it gradually but also helped with expressing milk, storing & feeding. We are now happily combi feeding breastmilk & formula which works for us as a family & allows us the best of both worlds, we have Laura to thank for that. We can’t recommend her expertise enough. She is so passionate about helping parents to feed their babies whichever way that may be, without any judgement whatsoever. Thank you Laura”.

“I felt ready to give up”
“I contacted Laura when my little boy was around two weeks old, due to being in a lot of pain when feeding. I felt ready to give up but messaged Laura in a desperate plea to come and help us!
As soon as Laura walked through my front door, I felt and instant sense of relief, like everything was going to be ok. Laura sat with me and my little boy, went through different positions I could use in order to make his latch less painful. Laura also suspected a tongue tie, which we then later on had confirmed and snipped. Laura made me feel so much more confident in our feeding. She gave so much reassurance that I was doing the right thing. After Laura had shown me a position to use, baby Charlie had an enourmous feed followed by the longest, most content sleep ever! If it wasn’t for Laura’s kindness, compassion and patience, I wouldn’t still be breastfeeding my little boy. We are eternally grateful, we love you Laura!”

“So much better than the NCT breastfeeding session”
“We started the workshop with zero idea of breastfeeding and have come away with SO much information. More importantly the importance of breastfeeding and not to give up if there are challenges, where to find support if needed and when which was really reassuring. There was also so much helpful information in the folder and really great resources. I did the NCT breastfeeding workshop as well as part of our NCT course but The Lemon Tree workshop was so much better, so much more informative and worth every penny to have 1-2-1 time with Laura . Even learning about the anatomy of breastfeeding so we understood how it actually works, a baby’s mouth, how latching should be, shouldn’t be etc, something we found the most helpful that NCT didn’t even touch on”! Thank you Laura.
