Massage Therapy
Provide space & time for you to receive loving touch
Massage is so much more than you think, it’s therapy, it’s about carving out space and time for you to receive loving touch. Your skin is stimulated, nourished and nurtured (it’s the largest organ of the body), which is a powerful way to support your emotional well-being and physical health. Touch is fundamental for development and life, one of the many reasons we must touch, hold and connect with our babies. Massage therapy is so powerful, it can heal, nurture and support you emotionally as much as it can relieve and soothe tension physically. When enjoying a treatment, you can bathe in the stillness, the calm and let go.
What to expect with a pregnancy massage therapy treatment
Both pregnancy and postnatal massage treatments are carried out on a comfortable massage bed with soft fluffy towels and a heated blanket should you need some warmth for any achy muscles. Side lying is the safest and most comfortable positioning for both you and your baby. Before we begin, I will ensure you are fully settled with a cushion under your head, another under your tummy to support your baby and additional cushions/supports between your legs, under your arms or wherever you need holding so you can completely let go. If you prefer to be on your front for a postpartum massage then of course you can be.
I will need spend a few minutes taking your health history and to discuss any areas of concern so you receive maximum benefits from your treatment. Please arrive on time for your consultation prior to your massage.

- Improve overall comfort in the body

- Lymphatic drainage techniques support the body to flush out and drain toxins from the body. They also help reduce swelling and boosts blood circulation. This allows oxygen and nutrients to flow with ease round your body and to your baby

- Helps maintain better posture which in turn reduces pressure on the respiratory system

When can I have a pregnancy massage?
You can have a pregnancy massage any time from 12 weeks onwards, it’s a perfectly safe treatment to receive. If you have pelvic issues such as SPD or any health concerns, I may require you to have a note from your Dr or physio. Feel free to reach out prior to booking a treatment if you are unsure.
Postpartum Massage
£85
70 minute appointment time.
Consultation time (10 minutes) and a 60 minute treatment.
At my studio in South Godstone Surrey RH9 8LB
Benefits of postnatal massage therapy
- Relieves muscle aches, bodily strains and wear through carrying, feeding and caring for your new baby
- Improves circulation through lymphatic drainage techniques, boosting oxygen and blood flow
- Aids relaxation, boosting mood and improves mindset
- Releases important hormones (feel good neuro transmitters) such as oxytocin and serotonin. Oxytocin is essential for emotional wellbeing, bonding and breastfeeding. Serotonin is responsible for maintaining mood and balancing hormones, which are huge changes to navigate after birth.
- Supports the healing process, speeds up recovery, restoring and balancing homeostasis throughout the body regardless of how your baby was born
- Much needed time to nurture yourself and fill your cup back up at a time you are giving so much to your little one.
- Target particular areas of concern or places you might be holding tension
How soon after birth can I have a postnatal massage?
From 6 weeks onwards, however if you have had a C section or any complex health issues post birth it’s suggested to wait around 6 months unless you have a Dr’s note or you are happy to sign a disclaimer. We don’t have to work on the abdomen or near your scar, massage therapy can actually promote and support healing post-surgery. If you are past 6 months postpartum, gentle abdominal massage can really support pelvic floor function and balance in the pelvis.
